While developing soup product in Malaysia, we received a request to use Japanese shiitake mushroom broth (dashi).
However, Halal certification (certification of ingredients permissible for use in Islamic countries) became necessary.
We obtained this certification in collaboration with a domestic manufacturing company, and products using this broth are now widely distributed throughout Malaysia.
Import Business
Japan has limited domestic resources, so we have imported goods to compensate and have also been quick to obtain and provide overseas trends.
In recent years, precisely because Japan experiences frequent natural disasters, we have also focused on imports as part of our BCP (Business Continuity Plan).
Most milk cartons distributed in Japan are domestically produced. However, in the event of an emergency where the supply of domestic milk cartons is interrupted, we would be unable to deliver the precious milk from cows raised by dairy farmers to consumers.
Therefore, we also import milk cartons from South Korea as part of our business continuity planning (BCP).
